What is Pilates?

Pilates is a mind-body exercise, that focusses on muscle training from an optimum posture whilst recruiting your inner core muscles and coordinating with your breath to achieve well-functioning efficient movement. 

It is beneficial for :

APPI

I am a certified Pilates Instructor with the Australian Physio and Pilates Institute (APPI).  The APPI Pilates method has been developed by Physiotherapists who have modified Joseph Pilates’ traditional repertoire of exercises, with reference to current research to be suitable and safe for the general population. 

 All 1:1 and class sessions with me encompass the 8 principles:

  • Breathing

  • Mindful concentration

  • Movement control

  • Centring with inner core muscles

  • Precision and coordination

  • Flowing movements

  • Postural alignment

  • Functional movements

Initial Session with Beth : Posture and Movement Assessment & Intro to Foundations of Pilates

Time to teach and practice inner core recruitment with movement, breathing technique and Pilates moves for addressing your particular needs.

1 hour £65

This is needed prior to the following options below. It is also recommended to do this before joining a Pilates class to get the best out of the classes.

1:1 Pilates session

Bespoke 1:1 experience guiding you through an individualised session of Pilates.

45 mins: £45

35 mins: £35

Online or in person

Home-visit : Prices as above but with the addition of travel time.

Once you’ve contacted me I’ll send you registration forms by email, so we can make the most of our time, or follow up with a phone call if you’d like to chat first. 

I’ll review your forms and contact you to find a suitable time for an appointment.

My garden room clinic is in Compton, near Winchester.  Street parking is available, and a short walk to the clinic.
